A Royal Affair OOTD
Posted on June 13 2017
Summer is all about the effortless look but sometimes you need to step up your fashion game. With so many unique boutiques on Queen Street West in Toronto, Canada we had to take advantage!
I love this look of the girlie elegance and the flattering fit of this outfit. I want to wear these types of pieces every day but I have to tone it down a bit for everyday life. I have so many pieces that make me say to myself, "But where am I going to actually wear this?" And of course, I find a way.

Every event I try to dress my inner "extra" self, it's when I feel the most confident. We each have those outfits that make us feel good.
When I found out I was invited to one of Toronto's many fashion nights, I was immediately thinking about the style I wanted to project. On of my favourite parts of fashion is that you can recreate yourself with each outfit. It's like creating a persona of who you want to be that night. I know many people think fashion is superficial but I always say to those people that it's an art. To be submersed in fashion at its peak whether it's Toronto Fashion Week, Fashion Art Toronto, or Sunday brunch at Colette Grand Cafe Restaurant, the designs and looks people create is exquisite. Because sometimes, the only way to truly appreciate what you do not appreciate is to try it.
For this particular event, the theme was 'Spring Royalty'. It was the first time I'd gone to this annual event and it did not disappoint.
I paired a fitted crop top with a high-waisted A-Line skirt from Zumel & Co Boutique on Queen Street West.
I love how this necklace fell just below the folded top. Always a full dose of accessories required, bringing this outfit to high society chic. Paired with a bold necklace, vintage metallic clutch, and nude shoes.
