Casual Chic Exploring The Coast Of Prince Edward Island
Posted on July 17 2017
This was my first time visiting Prince Edward Island and driving around the coast was the perfect way to explore every nook and cranny the Island has to offer. I am literally the worst packer and tend to stuff everything I can fit into a small suitcase and then continually repack until it closes. Why do I need 10 outfits if I'm going for 7 days...Seriously, what's my issue?
I was driving on the Northern Coast of PEI and saw a pull-off at the Prince Edward National Park so I thought I would take a walk a long the rocky shoreline.
Maybe a set of Lululemons and running shoes would have been more appropriate but it was a pretty impromptu walk so I went with what I had.
This hat is adorable, the perfect accessory for a beach day. I bought it at one of the markets on Charlottetown's Harbourfront. I love hats, though, for the most part, I don't look good in them. I feel like you're either a hat person or you're not. There is no in between.
The jean shorts were purchased in Toronto at the HM on Queen Street West, but they're sold County wide. I love the bottoms because it adds a cute accent to a regular outfit. Though, I notice when I was them, the scalloped bottoms flip up so I lay them to dye and Iron if needed. I never thought I would be the person to iron jeans but these shorts are worth it.
The duster is my absolute favourite <3
It's great to through over jeans and a basic white tank to dress it up. In the city, I wear it out with a cocktail dress on my nights out with the girls or a date night.
Think pink duster - with champagne in hand surrounded by your best girlfriends catching up after a busy week.
I paired the outfit with a brown gladiator-style sandal with gold accents from Joe Fresh. I never would think Joe Fresh would be my go-to place for cute sandals but never say never. These sandals are built well and they actually have a base to them. Sometimes I buy sandals and the money I save is just not worth the back pain.
And of course, I'm wearing my Kate Spade Plated Gold Bracelets (similar). They are so versatile and eye catching. I think I over wear them but who cares, they're pretty :)
What do you girls love to wear for a casual day? Love to hear your comments!
