How To Spice Up Your Hair Game
Posted on May 29 2017
I have recently been looking at my hair in photographs and thinking I need an update. My colour was drab and my hair looked the exact same day in, day out.
Most of us just don't have the time to do lavish hairstyles each day. But if you're like me, sometimes a little drama is in order. So here are some pretty simple ways to spice things up.
Hair accessories are a fun addition to the everyday look. You can keep your hair down and add a few classic pieces as a fun twist. Or make a simple updo look incredibly put together.
I like to throw on a fun headband from time to time or replace my regular bobby pins for some jeweled gold ones.
Dye - Semi Permanent
Wanna go a little crazy this weekend but still need to look like a professional at work on Monday? There are loads of washable hair dyes you can add to make heads turn. Try just dying a couple strands or just the bottoms of your hair for a fun festival vibes. Remember to try a spot check on your hair before going all over your head.
Tip: Remember to try a spot check on your hair before going all over your head.
Hair Stencil Design
This is an add-on to dyes. You can actually get a stencil and spray dye, to make a fun design for your hair.
This works well if your hair is pinned/tied back tightly to form a strong base of strands that will not move throughout the day. Seal it with some hairspray and you are good to go!

New Style Cut
I am the worst offender of keeping my hair the same. Literally, it's been straight for like 8 years... But think about it, maybe an update is in order. Ever run into those older women that are still rocking the Farrah or even worse...the mullet?!
You don't have to get crazy but you can update your look as time passes.
Tip: If you like a certain style or colour, find 10 pictures of the same style to bring to a hairdresser. You want them to be able to see the cut or colour from every angle, multiple times. Instead of just one shadowy pic. This way, they can best match the look you want!
Learn How To Do A Blow Out
Ever leave the hairdresser with bouncy voluminous hair and think you can take over the world? Your hair is full of body but still feels light and airy. This, my darling, is the result of a really good blowout.
I actually learned from a YouTuber by the name of Alexandrea Garza.
Her instructions are actually easy to understand and follow. The best part, the result has my colleagues asking if I just got my hair done!
Simple and Fun Updo
When it comes to hair - If it takes too long, I'm out. So finding easy and quick updos is my forte. I love a high pony wrapped with your own hair. A top knot that literally takes me 3 minutes to achieve, or a sleek low pony.
