Lipgloss Review: Hailey Baldwin for ModelCo
Posted on May 14 2017
To continue my obsession with lipgloss, I thought I would try the new Hailey Baldwin for ModelCo lipgloss and see how it stacks up.
First, If you're sitting there reading this and wondering “Who the heck is Hailey Baldwin!? And why do I care about ModelCo!?” Well, let me add this little lady and cosmetic company to your life.
Hailey Baldwin is an American Model and daughter of Stephen Baldwin. More importantly, she is the latest celebrity collaboration with ModelCo, a pretty cool makeup company.
I was first introduced to this brand when I received a lipliner in a beauty bag from my monthly subscription to Ipsy Cosmetics (Owned by mega YouTuber and now beauty mogul, Michelle Phan).
ModelCo is owned and run by a woman named Shelley Barrett and this woman knows how to run and release a good product!
The beautiful colour and staying power of this original lipliner discovery had me hooked at first apply. The prices for their products range from $10.00 - $25.00 for a single item. ModelCo offers free shipping on orders of $45.00 and up. Alternatively, they offer a flat rate of $9.95.

The gloss that I recently picked up was the Super Lips Gloss in shade Billow. This gloss is described by ModelCo as a long lasting lip lacquer and can be worn alone or over lipstick.
The packaging was fun but not too over the top. The high-quality box had a textured feel and simple writing. The gloss container itself was a fun matte ombre, starting from the gloss colour and rising to a matte black top.

What I didn’t like was a small detail of the packaging. When I was looking at the names of gloss, there was no indication of what colour they were from the outside. I had to actually open the lipgloss box to find out.
Now I don’t mind doing this but the sales girls did. So my suggestion would be to put a sticker on the bottom to indicate gloss colour.
The applicator stick was everything you want in a gloss, it was stiff and able to spread the product evenly over your lips with accuracy. The colour was thick and rich with a slight stickiness. This gloss was an instant boost to my look and attitude, I felt like a sexy bombshell instantly.
This colour was fixed on my lips for hours (I did not eat but did drink coffee). And after 3 hours the colour was still on my lips as a glossy stain but not as a full first application affect.
ModelCo hit it again and I would rank this company as one of my favourites. I would definitely recommend their glosses all day long.

Until next time,
